post news, and simultaneously transfer files with speed and ease. All
this is presented in a user-friendly and polished interface. The Client
incorporates cutting-edge features such as resumable downloads and

The Hotline Server enables the user to easily and safely run their own
personal server on almost any Macintosh currently, with a PC version
being in the alpha stage of development. The Hotline Server is a
powerful yet easy to use tool for anyone who needs a way to stay in
contact and share files, information and ideas.
To allow others to easily find and connect to their server, the user can

Subject: [*] Phone Codes Time Zones 3.3.6
Have you ever received a phone message and not known if it's still
"business hours" where the call came from? Or planned to call your
nephew in Harare and not known if he would be awake yet?
PhoneCodes/TimeZones is an update to my previous Area Codes/Time Zones.
It is a DocMaker stand-alone application which provides all kinds of
useful information. It lets you pinpoint where an area code or country
code is located and what time it is there. Conversely, it lets you look
up area codes for major cities in the US and Canada and international
country codes for all the countries in the world.
Version 3.3.6 is an interim release which is up-to-date on the latest
Area Code additions. Look for version 4.0 coming soon with detailed
world Daylight Savings Time information.
The reference sites for the latest released version are:
http://www.antigone.com
ftp://ftp.antigone.com/pub/pctz/
Future plans:
- More exact daylight savings time information
- City codes for countries which require them
Phone Codes/Time Zones is freeware, but it is not in the public domain.
Inclusion in freeware collections is prohibited unless written
authorization is obtained from me specifically for this purpose. It was
created with DocMaker. I only claim copyright on the text within.

later viewing.
New Features since version 1.3:

Subject: [*] WeatherTracker 2.3
WeatherTracker provides an easy-to-use interface to the Internet weather
servers. It requires a 68020 or higher processor with System 7.0 and
MacTCP or OpenTransport. WeatherTracker displays current information for
any of nearly 1500 cities worldwide in three different formats.
For cities in North America, temperature, barometric pressure, winds,
current conditions, local forecasts, and climatic data are updated hourly.
Coastal cities in the United States also have near shore marine forecasts
available. Cities outside North America are limited to temperature and
conditions, updated several times a day.
Changes in version 2.3:
- users upgrading from version 2.2.7 or earlier will need to reselect cities
- SOCKS firewall proxy support added
- AppleScript support
- added time stamp to status window entries
- inactive cities will automatically get data when data window is visible
- data logs no longer create new files each day
- daily min/max values are saved on quitting
WeatherTracker is shareware, $15 US. This evaluation copy does not save
your preferences. Registered users will receive a key to unlock that
feature.

Subject: [*] Window Monkey 1.2.3
Window Monkey adds background pictures or textures to any window in the
Finder -- it's like "Desktop Patterns" or "Desktop Pictures", but for
folder window backgrounds instead of the desktop.
You can color-code your windows to see at a glance what they contain, or
use wild patterns just for fun. Give your folder of "work stuff" a
background that looks like a legal pad, or choose a background of hearts
for that ZIP disk full of love letters.
This program also helps you better manage your windows in every
application (not just the Finder): You can use the handy Window Monkey
menu to quickly go to any window in any application, even if it's buried
beneath many other windows. Window Monkey also remembers recently used
folders and lets you instantly jump to any open or recently used folder
from an Open or Save dialog box.
45 background patterns are included, and you can add as many as you wish
by simply pasting or dragging your own pictures into the control panel.
Version 1.2.3 adds ten new patterns and improves compatibility with
Kaleidoscope, CoolViews, and other programs. It is a free upgrade for
registered users.
Window Monkey is compatible with System 7 and Mac OS 8 and later
(including 8.1). $20 shareware.

Subject: [*] Windows 95 crashes
If you think Windows 95 is just about the lamest operating system around,
you're not alone. In fact, I'm bilingual (Mac/PC) and I prefer using the
Mac. I hate Windows 95 so much I decided to change its shutdown screen to
say "Please wait while your computer crashes" instead of "shut down." Every
time I see that screen and it sits there forever, I groan. (Since I
installed that on my machine a few days ago, Windows 95 has indeed crashed
on shutdown. Ol' Reliable.)
I decided that it would be a great idea to make it a Desktop Picture for
the Mac, which is why I've got it here.
