Introduction to DDG Magazine

History

"Diemer-Duhm Gambit: The most comprehensive coverage of a single opening on the web." (Tom Purser)

I originated the DDG pages in 1994, created most of the contents in 1996, but stopped maintenance in the spring of 1997. Thanks to great support and encouraging comments from many gambiteers, I decided to start it all over again -- only better this time.

I tried to maintain the pages continuously, by adding new variations and games to the Analysis section every now and then. Unfortunately, there was no way to detect the changed analysis, and occasional readers were confused.

Therefore, I now concentrate on creating regularly updated content and start publishing an on-line DDG magazine 2-3 times a year. All new material is offered in the magazine while the DDG pages still contain the current main sections: analysis, games, writings. The magazine will contain a comprehensive collection of new games and articles -- an edited view to the new material.

Types of articles

Articles for the magazine can deal with anything related to the DDG: All contributions are most welcome!
